An awesome destination : Cancun and best plane tickets

September 2, 2020 / CaidaWarsaw / 0 Comments

Top travel locations to visit in Cancun and cheap plane tickets? Another interesting Mayan site that is easily accessible from Cancún’s main resort area-this one located at the north end of the main beaches-is the El Meco Archaeological Site. Originally inhabited around AD 300, it rose to prominence as a Mayan trade center from the 1100s until its decline after the arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century. Of particular interest is the 12.5-meter-tall El Castillo, the only pyramid of its kind to have been built in the area. Perched atop the pyramid are the remains of an old temple from which you’ll be rewarded with stunning views over the coastline and Isla Mujeres. This easy one-hour or so visit is well worth adding to your Cancún itinerary.

Experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to swim with dolphins, sea lions, manatees, and sting rays, in the warm waters of Isla Mujeres, while learning about each one from the knowledgeable marine mammal specialists. Dolphin Discovery offers several exciting packages ranging from 95 USD to 205 USD per person, each including experiences that will last you a lifetime. For those of you who enjoy the finer things in life, Dolphin Discovery also offers a VIP Dolphin Lounge, where you can cool off in the infinity pool and enjoy a seafood buffet and thirst-quenching drinks from the bar. Punta Sur is a popular tourist site, located on the southern tip of the island, 65 feet (19.8 meters) above sea level and boasting incredible views of Cancun in the distance. While the views alone are simply majestic, Punta Sur also has a sculpture park that was created to embody the Mayan Civilization. If you choose to visit Punta Sur and the southern tip of Isla Mujeres, make sure to bring your camera!

Rent A Golf Cart (one of the best things to do in Isla Mujeres!): To be able to experience all the things to do in Isla Mujeres we recommend that you rent a golf cart for the day. This is completely normal and is a popular thing to do. There are many golf car rental agencies available around the ferry port and you can expect to pay $45 – 55USD per day for a 2 seater. If you wish to hire a golf buggy for a week you can expect to pay anywhere between $270 -375. The longer the rental, the cheaper the rate will be. You will need a valid driver’s licence in order to rent a golf cart. And, if you’re into golfing, and not just riding golf carts, make sure to head to the town of San Pancho on the west coast. Golfing is one of the top things to do in San Pancho, the course there is well kept and very nice!

Cancún flights and airport services are usually a very satisfactory experience – in 2011, the airport received an award for Best Airport in Latin America by Airports Council International. With 4 terminals and 2 parallel runaways used simultaneously, Cancún flights cater to more than 20 destinations within the country and fly to over 30 international destinations, primarily parts of America and Europe. Beaches near Cancun are some of the best places in the world to find sea turtles. Between May and October you can see the turtles lay their eggs on the beach. The little ones hatch and flop into the ocean from July – December. The best place to visit sea turtles is Tortugranja, the turtle farm and conservation center on Isla Mujeres. Green turtles, hawksbill and loggerhead turtles are the most common species you can see around Cancun and Isla Mujeres. At Tortugranja you can see turtles all year round, in every development stage, for a $3 fee. You can feed them and interact with them under the care of a guide as well as crabs, urchins, and conches.

Being surrounded by water means some of the fun things to do in Isla Mujeres occur under the water. You can snorkel and scuba dive all around the island and there are dozens of companies that will take you out on a scuba or snorkel tour to see many types of corral and colorful tropical fish including sailfish from December to June. From June to September you can swim with giant Whale Sharks and anytime of the year is great to swim in the National Park that’s filled with the MUSA Underwater Sculpture Museum’s sculptures. Most tours include lunch buffets as well as snorkel gear.

The Cancun Scenic Tower (aka Torre Escenica) offers amazing views of the Caribbean coast, and Cancun itself. It’s open every day from 9am – 9pm. Hear about the history of Cancun as the tower slowly spins 360° for a spectacular birds-eye view of the entire Hotel Zone from the 100 m (300 ft) tall tower. The ride up takes about 5 minutes, and you can spend another 15 minutes taking photos as the deck spins around giving you views in all directions. Mercado 28 (Market 28) is a huge shopping center in downtown Cancun. This isn’t your typical mall, instead, this giant flea-market boasts 600 vendors who sell pretty much everything. From textiles to maracas and leather items, you can find some cool Mexican souvenirs at Mercado 28. Many items are handcrafted and unique, so they make great travel gifts. Feel free to test your bargaining skills here. Resist the seller’s first price and you can walk away with a great deal. Stop by one of the local restaurants for food at a fraction of Hotel Zone prices too! See additional details on here.
